United Community Bank honors Ronald McDonald Charities of the Carolinas

United Community Bank is proud to have recently presented the Ronald McDonald Charities of the Carolinas with a donation. The contribution was made in partnership with FOX Carolina and their Surprise Squad program. Video of the surprise can be seen at www.foxcarolina.com/surprisesquad/.

“We are fortunate to be in a position where we can support people and organizations in our community that are in need,” said Michelle Seaver, President of Greenville and Spartanburg areas for United Community Bank. “The coronavirus pandemic has taken a tremendous toll on all of us, and especially on those organizations that rely on donations and external support to carry out their missions. It is with great pleasure that we provide the Ronald McDonald Charities of the Carolinas with a small token of our appreciation for the work they do to support the Upstate community.”

“We are very blessed to be part of the United Community Bank family,” added Marti Spencer, CEO and Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas. “Our guests feel the bank’s impact in every peaceful night stay, every meal and every moment they can share with their loved ones.”

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas provides lodging services for the families of critically ill children who are receiving medical care at an Upstate hospital or healthcare facility. The FOX Carolina and United Community Bank team surprised the Ronald McDonald House with a truck full of supplies, toiletries and items from its October wish list.

This is the first of six gifts that will be made through the partnership with the FOX Carolina Surprise Squad. Throughout the remainder of the year, United Community Bank and FOX Carolina will surprise selected deserving nonprofits throughout the Upstate with donations.
