Greenville Country Club announces 2021 Board of Governors

The Greenville Country Club elected its 2021 Board of Governors at its recent annual meeting of the club’s members. Officers will serve a one-year term, while new At-Large Members of the Board will serve a three-year term.

Returning to the board are Hamilton “Bo” Russell, who will be continuing in a second term as President, while Howard Einstein will continue a second term as Vice President. New to their positions this year are Jim Morton, who will serve as Secretary, and Michael Fletcher, who will serve as Treasurer.

Matt Smith will continue to serve on the Long Range Planning Committee as Chairman, Executive Committee and the Board as Immediate Past President.

An additional eight Governors make up the rest of the Greenville Country Club Board of Governors:

  • Lee Palms, elected as Greens Committee Chairman

  • William Boswell, elected as Fitness and Pool Committee Chairman

  • Jeff Powell, elected as Tennis Committee Chairman

  • James McKissick, elected as Membership Committee Chairman

  • Frank Davis, elected as House Committee Chairman

  • Kelly Odom, elected as History and Traditions Committee Chairman

  • Beattie Ashmore, elected as a Member At-Large

  • Lindsay Carrington, elected as a Member At-Large

“We are honored to have this group serving on our Board of Governors this year, with the goal of making Greenville Country Club one of the best places in the Southeast to come home to,” said Greg Hobbs, General Manager of the Greenville Country Club. “We know that these individuals have the best interest of the club and its members at heart, and we look forward to seeing what they can accomplish this year.”
