The Clemson University Institute for Engaged Aging (IEA) has expanded its office at the University Center of Greenville (UCG) in Greenville, South Carolina, marking a new chapter in its growth and community engagement.

The newly expanded space features a large community area to host events, collaborative activities and training opportunities. It also includes dedicated rooms for research and training, as well as an affiliated faculty office. Each of the unique spaces supports the IEA’s mission to enrich the lives of older adults through research, education and community outreach.

Additionally, the IEA has opened an on-site phlebotomy lab at UCG. This important addition marks a significant step forward in supporting IEA research efforts as it saves valuable time for participants and improves accessibility. The phlebotomy lab supports current IEA research projects, including the Preventing Alzheimer’s with Cognitive Training (PACT) and Active Mind clinical studies – as well as work with the South Carolina Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and various projects led by the Clemson faculty.

To learn more about the IEA, explore its expanded space and enroll in ongoing research studies, visit online or in person at UCG or Oconee Memorial Hospital in Seneca, South Carolina.
