2021 Upstate International Spring Foreign Language Class Registration is Open

Spring Language classes start in two weeks at Upstate International. With 40 different classes and over 10 different languages to choose from: American Sign Language, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Vietnamese, there is a class for everyone! We are also offering classes for kids in American Sign Language, French and Spanish. Classes begin the week of March 22nd and end by June 4th. Why is this important? Language learning is proven to improve your critical thinking skills, memory and multitasking abilities, as well as enhancing your resume and career opportunities, travel and communication abilities.

Upstate International is offering a hybrid schedule with classes being taught in person and online. Spring regular classes are $90, meeting once a week for 8 weeks; each class is 75 minutes and will be conducted at the UI Center or online. Spring intensive classes are $320, meeting twice a week for 10 weeks; each class is 90 minutes and will be conducted at the UI Center or online. Students must be members of Upstate International.

Take advantage of language learning this semester with class fees at just about $10.00 per hour! Upstate International, a nonprofit, strives to keep the cost low to allow as many Upstate residents as possible the opportunity to learn a new language or brush up on one they used to know. Class sizes are small, only 3 to 10 students, providing optimal student engagement and to enhance the learning experience; and, classes are taught by native speakers eager to share their language and culture and dedicated to helping each student succeed. These classes are the perfect way to grow your global and local network!
