Tropical Smoothie Cafe announced its opening at Aston’s Verdae Village at 101 Verdae Blvd on Monday, May 18, bringing its fan-favorite smoothies, wraps, flatbreads, and bowls to Greenville residents, professionals, and families throughout the heart of the Verdae corridor.
The nationally recognized fast-casual brand adds a fresh, health-focused dining option to the center’s growing tenant mix.
The 2,723-square-foot café is the ninth location for Upstate franchisees Bill Ruby and Greg Powell, who have been growing their Tropical Smoothie footprint across the Greenville-Spartanburg market since 2017. The Verdae Village opening marks another milestone in that continued growth and reflects the ongoing momentum throughout the Verdae area.
“After nearly a decade serving the Upstate, we’ve learned that a great location becomes part of people’s everyday lives,” said Ruby. “We’re excited to join the Verdae community and create a place where people can grab a quick meal, meet up with friends, or stop in as part of their daily routine.”
For Aston, the addition continues the evolution of Verdae Village as a destination that serves both the day-to-day needs and lifestyle of the surrounding community.
“Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a natural fit for this center, and we’re pleased to welcome Bill and Greg’s team to the community,” said Barnes Connell, managing director of Aston. “They’ve built a strong following in the Upstate by creating an experience people genuinely connect with, and we believe this location will quickly become part of the rhythm of daily life in Verdae.”
Verdae Village is anchored by Food Lion and Lowe’s Outlet and is home to Office Depot, Planet Fitness, LensCrafters, Massage Envy, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Greenfield’s Bagels & Deli. The center serves as a primary retail and dining hub for the surrounding Verdae community, which has seen significant residential and commercial growth in recent years.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe at Verdae Village will open on Monday, May 18. Store hours are
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. For more information, visit www.tropicalsmoothiecafe.com.
