Upstate Warrior Solution announces new Board Member

Upstate Warrior Solution (UWS) welcomes Regional Managing Director of Truist Health, Dwight McPherson, to its Board of Directors. This brings UWS’ Board of Directors to a total of 23 members.

UWS’ Board of Directors aims to facilitate community awareness and partnerships with the objective of making veterans better soldier citizens. As a result, UWS generates local solutions and programs, integrating Upstate veterans and their families into a community of support and guidance.

Dwight McPherson was born and raised in Heath Springs, South Carolina. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina and completed the Graduate School of Retail Bank Management, sponsored by the Consumer Bankers Association. Additionally, he has completed BB&T’s Leadership Development Program.

A resident of Greenville, Dwight is currently the Regional Managing Director for Truist Wealth in South Carolina. He’s called Truist (previously BB&T) home for the past twenty-plus years he’s been in financial services. “It is an honor to work with Upstate Warrior Solution. Our community overall is made stronger by continuing to enhance a welcoming environment for veterans and those currently serving in the military. As a board member at UWS, I look forward to continuing to build awareness of the opportunity the business community has to help connect, lead, and inspire our warriors.”

In addition to his dedication to UWS and the veteran community, Dwight is a registered leader with Scouts BSA, where youth can enjoy the great outdoors and volunteer in their community. On top of this, Dwight serves on the board for Artisphere, an annual art festival in downtown Greenville. Dwight and his wife, Seana, currently reside in Greenville with their two children. As a family, they enjoy finding ways to foster community and using their talents to improve the lives of others.
