Upstate staffing leader WorkSmart grows: Internal promotions, new hires and additional location

WorkSmart, a women-owned staffing firm with over 35 years of experience, has announced three internal promotions and two new hires as the company expands its recruiting capacity to meet rising workforce demands in the Upstate and beyond.

Kaylee Munson has been promoted to human resources manager, where she will oversee the company’s HR operations and compliance. Leslie Patrick has been elevated to senior recruiter, taking on expanded responsibilities in candidate sourcing and client engagement. Tori Fleming has been promoted to staffing coordinator, focusing on candidate pipelines and onboarding.

The firm also welcomed two new recruiters: Jaemy Diaz, who joins the Spartanburg branch in Duncan, and Julia Odom, who joins the Greenville branch.

The staffing company’s growth reflects broader economic trends in the region. WorkSmart specializes in staffing across manufacturing, warehousing and logistics. These industries continue to expand rapidly within the Southeast. Over the last decade, manufacturing employment in South Carolina has grown by more than 17%, while Georgia has emerged as a national leader in advanced manufacturing, outpacing the United States in 10-year GDP growth in the sector.
