The Peace Center unveiled its two new music venues –– The Mockingbird and Coach Music Factory –– along with a new Arts Education Center and Artist Dorms last wek.
The Mockingbird
The Peace Center officially opens the doors to The Mockingbird on January 16 and 17, 2026, unveiling a bespoke new listening room designed for music lovers who crave artistry, intimacy, and connection. Located on Main Street as part of the Peace Center campus in the heart of downtown Greenville, the 180-seat venue debuts as one of the most anticipated cultural additions to the city’s vibrant arts scene.
Tailor-made for musicians, songwriters and storytellers, The Mockingbird blends timeless character with modern elegance. Purposefully designed for close listening, the venue offers a refined yet relaxed atmosphere where every lyric lands, every story resonates, and audiences feel part of the performance. From the plush lounge seating to the handsome finishes and impeccable acoustics, The Mockingbird is destined to become a marquee Greenville experience.
The first music venue to open as part of the Peace Center’s ambitious campus expansion, The Mockingbird helps fulfill a long-term strategic vision to create a fully integrated, 10-venue arts and entertainment complex. The space fills a long-standing void in the Upstate for an intimate listening room devoted to acclaimed songwriters and performers, offering a setting where stories matter as much as sound.
