Sharonview Federal Credit Union celebrates 70 years of community impact

Sharonview Federal Credit Union celebrated its 70th anniversary this year, marking seven decades of unwavering commitment to empowering its members and giving back to communities across North and South Carolina.

Since its founding in 1955 with just 11 members and $11,000, Sharonview has grown into a trusted financial partner with $1.4 billion in assets and serving a membership of nearly 90,000 individuals. Sharonview is driven by a mission to equip members with the financial tools they need to succeed in every stage of life. Throughout its history, Sharonview has lived by its commitment to core principles: relationships, trust, and reliability.

These principles are underscored by the guiding philosophy of the credit union movement: “People helping people.” When people have access to financial resources and are inspired to use them, communities can thrive.
