This Reedy Reels Film Festival will be returning to Greenville this summer with plenty of adjustments to make the festival unlike it’s ever been seen before.
This year’s festival will screen more than forty films, including multiple award-winning narratives and documentaries. While many exclusive films will be shown this year, there will also be a special viewing of a documentary titled The Girl Who Wore Freedom to commemorate the 77th anniversary of D-Day.
In addition to showing films, Reedy Reels will feature multiple panel conversations that will engage filmmakers and film lovers alike. Among these blocks of discussion and films is the “female filmmaker” block, which will allow for conversation on women in film. Filmmakers from around the country are expected to attend this event, and will lead discussions as well.
Reedy Reels will be one of the first events to be held in the newly renovated South Carolina Children’s Theatre. Because the venue is indoors, seating will be limited in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19. This allows for a more intimate event, and means that in order to participate in this year’s festival, those interested will need to act quickly in purchasing tickets.

We hope to drive that through engaging stories and experiences.”
