SENECA, S.C. – The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) has honored the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority (OJRSA) with a Platinum 7 Award for the Coneross Creek Water Reclamation Facility.

Gold Awards are presented by NACWA to facilities that achieve 100% compliance with all treatment parameters outlined in the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit issued to the OJRSA by the State of South Carolina. Platinum Awards recognize facilities that maintain this standard for at least five consecutive years.

This marks the seventh consecutive year that the Coneross facility has achieved 100% compliance.

“This is a great honor for our team, who have worked very hard on behalf of the people in the communities we serve,” said Chris Eleazer, executive director of the OJRSA. “This award is really about them and the diligence they bring every day.”
