LS3P names John Edwards Greenville Office Leader

LS3P announced that Associate Principal John Edwards, AIA, NCARB, has been named LS3P Greenville Office Leader, effective April 22nd. Edwards, who joined the firm in 2005, has designed and delivered a substantial portfolio of work in the civic and residential markets including multifamily developments and affordable housing.

A graduate of Clemson University with both a Bachelor of Science in Design and a Master of Architecture, Edwards has long been actively engaged in professional and community service. His outreach includes the Greenville Pickens Area Transportation Study (GPATS) Advisory Committee, the City of Greenville’s Design & Preservation Commission (DPC), and the Design Review Board (DRB), where he served as Chair of the Neighborhood Review Panel for four years. A champion of local historic preservation initiatives, Edwards has also served on Greenville’s Ad Hoc Historic Resources Advisory Committee, the DRB’s Urban Review Panel, and the City of Greenville’s Infill Housing Task Force and Housing Master Plan Steering Committee. He is a part of Greenville Tech’s Architecture and Construction Technology Advisory Group and has served as President of the Greenville Spinners Bicycle Club and as President of the Heritage Historic District.

Current Greenville Office Leader and Principal Prescott (Scott) May, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB, believes that Edwards offers invaluable skills for the position. “John has been an integral part of our Greenville team for over 15 years,” he explains, “and his leadership and exemplary professional and community service make him an ideal candidate for leading LS3P’s Greenville office into a new chapter of growth.” This change in office leadership allows Scott to further apply his higher education expertise throughout the region.

LS3P’s CEO Marc Marchant, AIA, LEED AP, is also excited about the vision Edwards brings to the task. “The Greenville market is thriving and offers diverse opportunities across a broad range of sectors,” Marchant says. “John has demonstrated consistent excellence in all of his work with the firm as well as engagement to the professional and community organizations he serves. We look forward to his leadership as the Greenville office continues to grow in the coming years.”
