Habitat Greenville to raise wall for its second Abraham Build, and 400th Home in Greenville County

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County along with members of the Muslim, Jewish and Christian faiths will hold a wall raising next Wednesday for its second Abraham Build home.

This wall raising also will celebrate the construction of the 400th build by Habitat for Humanity Greenville County. As part of the Bridge Builder series, this build strives to bring these faith communities together to foster dialogue and deeper understanding of their varying faiths through the joint construction of a Habitat for Humanity home.

The event will be held at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, at 425 Webster Road, Greenville

With the support of the City of Greenville, and Greenville Housing Authority, Habitat is building 29 new homes in Heritage Hills, which is located in the Nicholtown neighborhood. This community will cover a three-acre parcel located near Downtown Greenville. The plan ultimately provides what the community and families need:

  • Access to affordable, well-constructed housing

  • Financial stability

  • Self-sufficiency and overall well-being

The Abraham Build series promotes Interfaith dialogue, and is supported by the following partners:

  • Christ Church

  • Congregation Beth Israel

  • Earle Street Baptist Church

  • First Baptist Greenville

  • Greenville Muslim Community

  • Temple of Israel

  • Westminster Presbyterian Church

  • ScanSource Charitable Foundation
