Greenville Women Giving (GWG), a women’s collective giving organization serving Greenville County, will begin accepting grant applications on November 1, 2021. GWG seeks to fund worthy non-profit programs within Greenville County that have the potential for high impact and significant positive change in the areas of Arts, Education, Environment, Health, and Human Services.
Greenville Women Giving welcomes grant requests from 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organizations located within or offering services to the citizens of Greenville County. Grants considered will include requests for general operating support, creation of new programs, expansion, enhancement or continuation of existing programs, or for capital improvements.
GWG members believe that a strong community requires strong programs and services in a variety of sectors. Therefore, GWG awards at least one grant in each of the five focus areas listed above. Grants awarded in 2022 will range from $50,000 to $100,000 and are required to be completed in either a one-year or two-year term.
Awarded each spring, GWG grants are fully funded by member contributions. Finalists are chosen following a thorough and comprehensive vetting process and — according to the organization’s founding principle of one woman, one vote — winners are determined by the cumulative voting of GWG members.
Applications are available online at greenvillewomengiving.org/grants. Grant guidelines, application instructions and frequently asked questions are also available on the GWG website. The deadline for submission is November 26, 2021 at midnight. Grants will be awarded in May 2022.
Organizations interested in learning more about the application process are encouraged to watch the Grantee Information video that will be available on the GWG website. Both new and returning grant applicants are encouraged to watch the video.
