Greenville County Historical Society adds four board members

GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville County Historical Society recently added four board members to help strengthen the organization’s preservation and education efforts.

New board members are Tevin Smith, Lib Ramos, Murphy Armstrong and Fiona Buchanan.

Since 2023, Buchanan has served as the Deputy City Clerk for Greenville where she assists in the curation of the City’s archives. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Western Carolina University.

A returning board member having last served in 2013, Armstrong also serves as the Chairman of the Springwood Cemetery Advisory Board.

Ramos is the founder of the Indie Craft Parade, which brings together hundreds of artisans each year, and is a former Furman University Adjunct Professor. She is the founder of Good Printed Things and is a Greenville Certified Tourism Ambassador.

A Greenville native, Smith has served the community in numerous ways with tenures on the Richland Cemetery Advisory board, Greenville Light Opera Works Lyric Theater board, and The Greenville, SC Branch of the NAACP and more. He is the founder and Artistic Director of The Former Black High Schools' of Greenville County SC Chorale.
