On Tuesday, June 17, the City of Greenville hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the grand reopening of the newly renovated Cleveland Park Courts. The event highlighted the city’s continued investment in recreational spaces and community well-being.

The renovations introduced 13,000 square feet of additional court space, featuring six tennis courts, two pickleball courts, and one basketball court. All courts were outfitted with new LED lighting, and the adjacent parking lot was resurfaced with added parallel parking along Lakehurst Street. A newly constructed multi-use path now connects the courts to the Swamp Rabbit Trail, the Cleveland Park Ballfield, and includes a crosswalk to the Greenville Zoo parking lot.

Greenville’s Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department expressed pride in reopening the upgraded facility, offering enhanced amenities and greater accessibility for both residents and visitors.
