Golf Life Navigators partners with David Vandeputte of Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s Internat

GREENVILLE, S.C. – David Vandeputte, a real estate professional with Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty, has graduated from the Golf Certified Real Estate Agents program led by Golf Life Navigators (GLN), the world’s only virtual marketplace that connects buyers with club communities.


The Golf Certified Real Estate Agent program began in 2017 and has graduated 400-plus agents from around the world. Vandeputte was identified as a top-candidate to represent the Upstate South Carolina region. With his new certification, he becomes GLN’s exclusive real estate agent for the region.


“Golf and real estate are two of my passions,” Vandeputte said. “The opportunity to merge the two and help others find their dream homes and golf communities is exciting. Vandeputte graduated from East Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and then went on to earn his Master in Business Administration from University of Detroit. He worked for the famed IT company, Compuware, for seven years in Technical Sales Support. In this role, he assisted sales staff in building interest for various software products, and performed needs analysis and established objectives at prospective client accounts. Then, he opened Motor City Golf Shop, a retail golf shop that he owned and managed the business operations of for ten years.


In 2010, Vandeputte made the jump to real estate, and built a successful business as a golf community guru. He joined Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty in September 2021, and earned President’s Circle Award status which is for Associates who did more than $5 million in sales, in 2022.


“It’s not an understatement to say that David knows the Upstate’s golf communities as well as any real estate professional in the region,” Herlong said. “This certification highlights his abilities.”
