Expectations move Stokes & Company to hire three more team members

Stokes & Company CPAs, a local firm specializing in monthly accounting and payroll services for business clients, as well as individual and business tax planning and preparation, has hired three additional team members in anticipation of a busy 2021.

Tara Kennedy comes to Stokes with more than two decades of bookkeeping experience, as well as tax preparation skills in individual income tax and fiduciary, partnership, S-corporation and business tax returns. Kennedy’s competence in prioritizing, multi-tasking and attention to detail make her an excellent fit for her new role as Senior Tax Accountant.

Sonja Gorsline is joining the Stokes team as a Tax Accountant. With a bachelor’s degree from Bob Jones University and tax experience from two previous firms, Gorsline has proven herself to be highly organized, efficient, self-motivated, deadline-driven and team-oriented. Gorsline is currently pursuing her Enrolled Agent License.

Ping Wang recently earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina Upstate. As an Accounting Major, Wang maintained a 4.0 GPA, and she is now continuing her education to earn her CPA license. Wang’s new role as Accountant at Stokes & Company will give her the opportunity to exercise her skills in communication, time management and adaptability.

“Each of these new team members brings unique skills and capabilities that allow us to elevate the value we provide our clients. We’re optimistic that the year ahead will be one of steady progress and continued growth,” said Stephen Stokes, President of Stokes & Company.
