Annual ‘Wake Up with Rebuild’ event to take place this fall

GREENVILLE, S.C. – “Securing our Foundation” will be the theme of Rebuild Upstate’s annual informational event for the Greenville Community.

Wake Up with Rebuild is a free, informational event offering the opportunity to hear community leaders share thoughts on affordable housing in the Upstate. Attendees will learn how Rebuild Upstate has served homeowners in need for the past 16 years and how the organization envisions future service.

The Kroc Center doors open at 7:30 a.m., with the program running from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29th, 2022. Breakfast and coffee will be provided. This year’s Wake Up with Rebuild sponsors include Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., Southern First Bank, NAI Earle Furman, Wildflower Design Studio, Morris Law, Alliance Pro Inspections, LLC and InvestiNet, LLC. To register for this free event, either in-person or as a virtual guest, follow this link. Registration ends September 27, 2022. Virtual tickets are available.

“We are so excited about this year's Wake Up with Rebuild event,” said Jake Beaty, CEO of Rebuild Upstate. “We are looking forward to being able to share more with our community about the work that Rebuild Upstate is involved with, and the opportunity to network with our volunteers and sponsors to discuss what we are aiming towards in the future, so we can continue to help impact the Greenville area for years to come.”

Rebuild Upstate helps low-income homeowners with home repairs and accessibility improvements to create safe, livable housing in existing homes and neighborhoods. Home repairs can range from small plumbing fixes to roof and floor replacements. Accessibility improvements range from installing grab bars and railings for vulnerable populations to building wheelchair ramps for those with disabilities.

Attend Wake up with Rebuild to learn about the program’s work in the community, ways to get involved and how to contribute to life-changing home repairs.
