Public Education Partners relaunches the award-winning InformEdsc.org data center

Public Education Partners (PEP) announces the launch of the newly-revised InformEdsc.org (InformEdSC). This interactive website is where local and state leaders, parents, educators, and community members can find current, accurate data and information about K-12 public education in South Carolina.

Developed by PEP with the support of numerous community partners, InformEdsc.org combines information on education from various sources to provide both broad overviews and detailed insights in an easy-to-understand format. A comprehensive data center, InformEdSC is where you can find quick answers, learn about trending issues, view data on school districts and schools, and read deeper on various K-12 topics.

“The primary objective of InformEdsc.org is a better-informed community and state that can more successfully engage in building and sustaining a quality system of public schools in which all students have the opportunity to succeed,” said Catherine Schumacher, President and CEO of PEP.

InformEdsc.org is the recipient of the 2019 InnoVision Award for Community Service. This award recognizes organizations for the development of new technology or for the innovative application of existing technology, to provide products, services, or processes that improve the quality of life in South Carolina communities.

“Thriving K-12 systems have an informed and engaged community that takes a high level of responsibility for the performance of their school system,” said Schumacher. “School districts cannot achieve this alone and sites such as InformEdsc.org are another tool for increasing community knowledge and involvement with public education.”
